Well, up to this point, I’m getting better at English, but there are some moments I feel uncomfortable, and all these situations make me a little sad because I’m not able to understand English natives from any country who speak English as their first or second language. To solve, or at least to try to solve this problem that I have with my English skills, I’ve been watching a lot of videos on YouTube every day so I can train and practice my English. I have found a lot of YouTube channels that have helped me a lot, and they are still helping me with what I should do to become more confident in English. I made three new foreign friends who are helping me with my English skills every day. They are natives of the USA, and I’m an English learner from Brazil. We text a lot with each other, sharing moments and stories about ourselves just to relax, and we ended up making a group on Snapchat. It’s been a few weeks since I made these friendships through an app that I downloaded from Google.

The cabin of my little paradise
Today, I talked to them a lot on Snapchat, and I also talked to another friend from the United States. We made a phone call with each other, and we even decided to change the phone call to a video call, and it was amazing. We had a lot of fun talking to each other. Now, let’s talk a little bit about the apps that I use to help me learn all the languages I’m learning at the same time, which are English, Spanish, French, and Korean. Maybe I can start learning Chinese in the middle of this week. I have just a few apps that help me a lot every day, which are Duolingo, Grammarly, Cake, and Busuu. In my opinion, these are the best apps that can help anyone learn more about languages. There’s an app here that I didn’t mention inside the list, which is OpenAI. OpenAI is an artificial intelligence (AI) that can help YouTube content creators to generate scripts for their videos when they need more content. OpenAI was created to help people learn new things every day. You can perform several searches on the platform by clicking on the button below and adding your question, and OpenAI will do the rest for you.
In this part of my diary, I’m going to talk about a friend in common who lives in the United States. Yesterday, we had our first conversation ever. Yes, that’s right. We had never seen or talked to each other before. I met him on social media one week ago, and yesterday we had our first phone call, which then led to a video call. I have to say, it was a wonderful day. Even though I couldn’t understand half of what he was saying, I felt motivated and comfortable for a good part of our conversation. I was very anxious and nervous, which disturbed me a lot, but I am feeling more than happy because all of these good things that are happening to me now are the best things that could happen to me.
